New Hampshire Football Schedule 2023: What To Know
UNH Football is ready to build off strong 2022 season and win a second-straight CAA Football Championship. Here's the 2023 New Hampshire Football Schedule.
New Hampshire Football is ready to continue the momentum built in 2022 when it went from 3-8 in 2021 to 9-4.
The Wildcats shared the CAA Football title with William & Mary in 2022 and, like the Tribe, reached the second round of the NCAA Playoffs before losing to Holy Cross.
It was the first playoff appearance for the Wildcats since 2017, who had made 14 straight FCS playoff appearances from 2004 to 2017. That includes trips to the semifinals in 2013 and 2014.
New Hampshire became a FCS power in the northeast under coach Sean McDonnell, who counts UCLA, and former Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly, and Ohio State coach Ryan Day, as former assistants.

McDonnell retired following the 2021 season after winning 157 games at New Hampshire.
His successor, Ricky Santos, who coached the team in 2019 when McDonnell took a medical leave, has steered the team back to the top of the conference quickly, going 9-4 in first season as the head coach.
Rival Dartmouth, Central Michigan Of The MAC On The 2023 UNH Football Schedule
The Wildcats will face longtime rival Dartmouth again this season in “The Granite Bowl.”
The two in-state schools first played in 1901 and will meet for the 42nd time this year. New Hampshire owns a 20-19-2 record against its Ivy League foil.
New Hampshire beat Dartmouth 14-0 in 2022.
A week before the showdown with Dartmouth, UNH will face Central Michigan of the Mid-American Conference. The Chippewas are coming off a down season in the MAC with a 4-8 season, but were 9-4 in 2021 with a bowl win over Washington State.
