Delaware Football Schedule 2023: What To Know
Delaware Football Schedule 2023: What To Know
Delaware football prepares for the 2023 season following a successful 2022 campaign that saw the Fightin’ Blue Hens finish with a record of 8-5.
After an impressive 8-5 season in 2022, Delaware football is looking to build on that success in 2023.
Second-year coach Ryan Carty turned the program around after a mediocre season in 2021, when previous coach Danny Rocco was fired.
Carty was previously the offensive coordinator at Sam Houston State before taking on his first-ever head coaching job.
If Delaware wants to improve on last season, the Fightin’ Blue Hens will have to find the right man at quarterback.

Following the departure of last year’s starter Nolan Henderson, a contentious quarterback battle is already underway in Newark. The quarterback battle is a two man race between Iowa Central CC transfer Zach Marker and last year’s backup Ryan O’Connor.
Not much is separating the two players right now and there’s no favorite to win the job, according to reports.
We could very well see this battle continue into the first couple of weeks into the season as both quarterbacks are likely to get reps in the beginning.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens will have their toughest test of the season early in Week 2.
The team will travel to Happy Valley to take on Penn State in one of the most raucous environments in the country.
