University of Rhode Island Football will play the University of Maine in week 3 at Alfond Stadium.

Rhode Island Football and University of Maine have played eachother in 14 games in the past 18 years, they will come together again on Friday, Sept. 15 at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Alfond Stadium in Orona, Maine.

The Rhode Island Rams come into the match-up with a 1-1 record, having lost to Georgia State in their first game of the season, 35-42. But the Rams bounced back, defeating Stony Brook in week 2 with a score of 35-14. 

Rams QB Kasim Hill threw two touchdowns and accumulated 299 yards against the Seawolves. 

Maine, however, have lost both of their first two games, first to Floria International, 12-14, then a 44-7 dismantling at the hands of FCS legends North Dakota State.

What To Know About University of Rhode Island Rams

The big win in their Coastal Athletic Association home opener against Stony Brook, bumped up the Rams in the AFCA Coaches Top 25, one of the four CAA football programs that are represented in the poll. 

Rhode Island had a fairly successful 2022 season in the CAA, going 7-4 overall, with strong performances by Kasim Hill throughout the season. They'll look to build on last season as they begin conference play against Maine. 

What To Know About University of Maine Black Bears

After falling to No. 2 North Dakota State University in Week 2, 44-7, the team will be looking to get their first win of the season. 

A player to watch is week 1's CAA Rookie of the Week recipient, freshmen tailback Tristen Kenan. He had an outstanding debut against FIU with 24 carries for 108 rushing yards and a touchdown.
