Week 5 of the NCAA Division II football season continues as the Wingate Bulldogs take on Mars Hill Lions in Wingate, NC at Irwin Belk Stadium starting at 6:00 p.m. ET. Both teams are coming off losses on September 21 and look to get back in the win column to improve their standing amongst the South Atlantic Conference teams.

So far in 2024, Wingate boasts wins against UNC Pembroke and No. 17 Delta State earlier this year. Their one loss was to the Carson-Newman Eagles in overtime, when the Eagles kicked a winning field goal after Wingate tied it up in the 4th quarter.

Mars Hill holds losses to Delta State on August 29 and Lenoir-Rhyne on September 21. They've put up a total 37 points and 499 yards over two games but will need to improve on the defensive side to hold back the Bulldogs from scoring in their home stadium.

The 2024 Mars Hill vs Wingate starts on Sep 28, 2024, with kickoff at 6:00 p.m. ET.
