The No. 23 West Alabama Tigers will travel to Pensacola, FL, to face the No. 12 West Florida Argonauts on September 21 in a Gulf South conference Division II-ranked game live on FloFootball. The game opens up conference play for the Gulf South and is the lone ranked matchup of the weekend.

West Alabama is bringing a 3-0 record with wins against Miles, Tusculum, and Limestone. West Florida has one win this season against McKendree, 38-6 on September 5. With three weeks between games, it will be the longest gap between games in West Florida's eight-year history.

The passing game was a strength for the Argonauts despite two interceptions (both tipped) in their first game of the season with 231 yards from redshirt freshman Marcus Stokes. The special teams also excelled with Virgil Lemons earning nearly 150 yards from two punt returns.

West Alabama brings a more balanced offense between the running and passing game with 616 rushing yards gained and 509 passing yards so far over their three match-ups.
