Ryan Carty's tenure at the Delware football program has been incredibly successful so far. As a former Blue Hen player, and having been with the program since 2008 as a coach, Carty has gone 17-9 over his first two seasons at the helm.

In 2023, Carty and the Blue Hens finished with a 9-4 (6-2) record, landing in the FCS football playoffs with a matchup against Lafayette. After dispatching the Leopards, they went up against eventual national champion runner-up, Montana -- which ended their season. 

It's onward and upward for Delaware football, as they bring back their two most prolific offensive players in quarterback Ryan O'Connor and running back Marcus Yarns.

Yarns accumulated 948 yards on the ground and 311 receiving yards. He led the team with 18 total touchdowns. Yarns was recently named to the FCS Football Central Preseason All-American Team.
