St. Frances Academy football heads to Pennsylvania to take on Central Catholic in an early season non-region test for the programs.

St. Frances Academy football only went 5-6 last year, inarguably an off year -- but the program is still so respected in the high school football landscape, they landed at No. 51 in High School Football America's national rankings to end 2023.

In fact, in the offseason, the team has improved to No. 18 in the HSFA 300. The Panthers will begin their 2024 campaign against out-of-state opponent Central Catholic (PA).

The Vikings have had quite a few successful seasons recently despite being ignored by most national rankings. Central Catholic still ranks No. 4 in the state of Pennsylvania. 

The player to watch this game will be St. Frances' Zion Elee, an edge rusher, who is ranked No. 2 in the nation for the 2026 class on 247 Sports. Elee is uncommitted but has offers from Oregon, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State among others. 

St. Frances Academy vs. Central Catholic is Saturday, August 24 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
