UTPB Football Schedule 2024: Times, Dates
UT Permian Basin was, by all measures, an elite school in 2023. They'll try to carry that into this season, with new coaches and new talent.
UT Permian Basin raked in the accolades last season, including a Lone Star Conference title as well as multiple All-American and All-Region honors for quarterback Kenny Hrncir, linebacker Hayden Kelly and Dominique Varela. All three graduated, however, but Hrncir and Kelly moved into coaching roles, and will mentor the next men up in their respective positions.

UTPB was high-flying last year, on both offense and defense. The team ranked first in both scoring defense and scoring offense in the LSC. The Falcons ranked eighth in the nation in scoring offense, averaging over 42 points per game. Again, the defense was right there, allowing only 16 points per game, and ranked 11th in Division 2 in the category.
The team had multiple lopsided wins, obliterating Texas College 96-0, and Southwest Baptist 86-7. While the Falcons made the Division 2 Playoffs, they were dispatched surprisingly early, losing to Bemidji State at home, 10-3.
All this is to say that UTPB was an elite school last year, and while they do lose talent, installing that talent as coaches is a masterstroke by head coach Kris McCullough. Expectations are that UT Permian Basin won't lose much of a step in 2024. The team was voted to finish third in the LSC coaches poll, and ranks No. 21 in the AFCA national coaches poll.
Here's the UTPB schedule for the 2024 season.
