The first in-season college football polls have been released, and both the AFCA Coaches Poll and Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Rankings show some early shifts and trends in the FCS landscape.

South Dakota State remains at the top in both rankings, with North Dakota State and Montana State following closely at No. 2 and No. 3.

Villanova moves up a spot to No. 6 in both polls, after dispatching No. 23/25 Youngstown State. 

In the end, not much difference between the two polls after week 1. Furman is the largest disparity, ranked No. 9 by AFCA and No. 12 by Stats Perform.
