Richmond football hosts Wofford for a non-conference showdown on September 7. The game will be the Spiders home-opener after visiting Virginia last week for an FBS matchup, one that Richmond ultimately lost 34-14. 

In spite of that, Richmond will no doubt be looking to fortify themselves early in the season, as they try to improve on a successful campaign in 2023, going 9-4.

Wofford had a challenging 2023 season but has shown they're capable of upsets, like their victory over Gardner-Webb last week.
