Monmouth, Robertson Drop 51 Points On Maine Black Bears In CAA Win

Maine hosted Monmouth at Alfond Stadium to begin CAA conference play for each team, as Derek Robertson has a huge day. Here's a recap of the game.

Derek Robertson had a huge day against his old school, throwing for nearly 400 yards and four touchdowns as the Monmouth Hawks downed the Maine Black Bears 51-22.

With little resistance, Robertson drove the Hawks down the field to score on their first two possessions.

Maine’s offense looked lethargic for much of the first half, but managed to eventually score 22 points, with two scores coming in the second half.

Robertson transferred from Maine in the offseason, and has been lights out for the Hawks through three games this season. He’s averaging over 300 passing yards a game.
