How To Watch Wisconsin-La Crosse Vs. Grand Valley State University Football
GVSU is back home in Michigan and ready to welcome the Wisconsin-La Crosse to Lubbers Stadium for the second meeting in history between the two squads.
There’s no doubt the Grand Valley State University football team has been turning heads in recent years, but many of those same heads were shaking last week as the Lakers nearly let their Week 3 game against Colorado State University-Pueblo get away in the final quarter.
GVSU now is back at home in Allendale, Michigan, and ready to welcome the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to Lubbers Stadium for the second meeting in history between the two squads. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern.
The first time the two teams met was 2021, with GVSU winning 45-24.

The Lakers have won 10 or more games 17 times since 2001, including an 11-2 performance in 2023 that included the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and a run to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
They’re now 2-0 in 2024 and two weeks from the start of GLIAC play, which will fill the final seven weeks of GVSU’s schedule.
In their win over CSU-Pueblo, the Lakers led 17-0 at halftime and appeared to be cruising, but they were outscored 21-7 in the second half, including two touchdowns in the final quarter.
The ThunderWolves ultimately ran out of time and fell short 24-21, denying them a 10th consecutive victory, a winning streak that began last September.
Wisconsin-La Crosse also is 2-0, having picked up wins against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (35-0) and Northern Michigan (35-21). The Eagles are ranked fifth on the latest D3football.com Top 25.
They also were 11-2 last season and won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season title with a 7-0 record in WIAC play. The win earned them a spot in the Division III Playoffs, and they advanced to the national quarterfinals.
