No. 14 Central Washington sent a message to the Lone Star Conference on Sept. 21 by demolishing West Texas A&M on the road, 45-3, while West Alabama and West Florida played one of the games of the year in the Gulf South Coast. 

No. 23 West Alabama Football upset No. 12 West Florida in double overtime, 35-33, to stay undefeated and undoubtedly move up in the polls.

After starting the season 1-1, Central Washington looks to return to the cusp of the top 10 after waiting out a three-hour weather delay to beat WT Football. 

No. 3 Grand Valley State Football, meanwhile, was pushed by Division III No. 5-ranked team Wisconsin-La Crossee at home in a 20-13 win.
