What a time to be alive. The temperature is dropping, the leaves are changing, the football is... footballin'.

Truly, though, this football train doesn't stop until it reaches its destination. Here we are, five weeks into the season and we've seen so much, but there's so much football left to play.

Below are five hand-picked games being broadcast on FloFootball, each with a few reasons to watch.

This week, we have a clash of two former champions, Trinidad Chambliss and Ferris State continue to roll, and, we're reminded that D2 is home to so many solid running backs.

Here are the reasons to watch these five games.

Why To Watch GVSU Vs. West Florida

  • Records:
    • No 2. Grand Valley State 3-0
    • No. 21 West Florida 1-1
  • Day/Time: Saturday, September 28 at 3:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  1. We Don't Know What West Florida Is... Yet

    • The Argos lost to West Alabama last week in double-overtime. But it was only their second game of the season. It was UWA's fourth game of the season.
    • Despite being ranked going into the season, we still don't really know the vibes at West Florida.
    • If the Argos defeat GVSU, we definitely know the ~vibes~ are good.
  2. Who Is Going To Be THE Guy At WFU?

    • No player has distinguished themselves on offense for WFU, yet.
    • Jamontez Woods has three touchdowns in two games, but is averaging only 3.0 yards per carry.
    • Redshirt freshman QB Marcus Stokes has three passing touchdowns, but four interceptions.
    • Ja'corey Scott has 162 receiving yards, but 73 of those yards came on a single play.
  3. Lubbers Stadium Is Chaotic Good

    • One of the best places to play in Division 2 football, GVSU will bring the crowd for this top 25 matchup.
    • Lubbers Stadium totaled 100,882 in attendance during the 2023 season.

Why To Watch Monmouth Vs. Fordham

  • Records:
    • Monmouth 2-2
    • Fordham 0-4
  • Day/Time: Saturday, September 28 at 1:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  1. Derek Robertson Has The Power Of Three Arms

    • Monmouth quarterback Derek Robertson is outpacing everyone in the FCS in passing yards. Right now, he has 1,496.
    • And, sure, a lot of yards is a cool stat. But what's more impressive is that despite the amount of completions, he's not slacking in efficiency.
    • Robertson is averaging 13.85 yards per completion, good enough for 15th in the FCS. He's the only one in the top 35 spots with over 1k yards.
    • He's also No. 14 in passing efficiency at 162.77.
  2. Sone Ntoh Is A 235-Pound Trebuchet

    • Often used as a goal-line back, Ntoh had 14 touchdowns last season on 56 total attempts(!).
    • This year, through four games, Ntoh has seven touchdowns on 35 carries(!!)
    • Ntoh slams his huge frame into the opposing defense with very little remorse and, pound-for-pound, he often wins the battle.
  3. Fordham's Defense...

    1. ...Is allowing 402 yards per game.

Why To Watch Ferris State Vs. AIC

  • Records:
    • No. 5 Ferris State 2-1
    • American International 1-2
  • Day/Time: Saturday, September 28 at 12:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  1. Anything You Can Do, I Can Do

    • Yes, GVSU's offense is ranked No. 4 in the country, and Ferris State isn't far behind at No. 11.
    • But Ferris State's defense is ranked No. 3 in D2. While GVSU is ranked No. 22 in the same category.
    • Who's the winner? We'll find out on October 26.
    • But the point is that, as watchable as GVSU is, Ferris State is right there.
  2. Trinidad Chambliss Is Him

    • Chambliss doesn't have the numbers of his fellow D2 quarterbacks, but he doesn't have to.
    • The junior quarterback is throwing for 221 yards a game, along with five passing touchdowns and four rushing TDs.
    • Chambliss also has a higher passing efficiency (167.17) than the much-lauded Zach Zebrowski (162.12).

Why To Watch UTPB Vs. Midwestern State

  • Records:
    • UT Permian Basin 2-2
    • Midwestern State 2-1
  • Day/Time: Saturday, September 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  1. Dylan Graham Is Still Launching Touchdowns

    • UTPB quarterback Graham has 11 touchdowns through four games.
    • Graham also has No. 6 in passing yards in D2, with 1,123.
    • Graham has been involved in 66 of his team's 145 total points on the season.
  2. UTPB Has Yet To Liftoff

    • Permian Basin, at 2-2, has been slow out of the gate in 2024. Last week they lost to Texas A&M-Kingsville, 20-14.
    • The Falcons won the LSC last season, going 8-0 in conference play and 10-2 overall.
    • UTPB is clearly skilled though, but they're dealing with some turnover.
    • They have a new starting QB, Graham, and their quarterback from last year, Kenny Hrncir, has become their co-offensive coordinator.
    • Odds are they put it all together, and a win this week would be a good start against a conference opponent.
  3. Midwestern State Has Three Dogs At Running Back 🐕

    • The Mustangs are averaging 185 rushing yards a game and have three running backs who have shown promise early in the season.
    • Devin Cross, Jalen March and Christian Olige are the names to watch.
    • Cross is averaging 90 yards a game, 272 total, and a whopping 7.6 yards per carry.
    • March is running for 71 yards a game at 5.5 yards per carry. He also has 44 yards receiving.
    • Olige is built like a truck, at 6-foot-3, 235, and three touchdowns on nine carries.

Why to Watch Central Washington Vs. WNMU

  • Records:
    • No. 13 Central Washington 2-1
    • West Texas A&M 1-3
  • Day/Time: Saturday, September 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  1. Central Washington Finally Plays At Home

    • After three games, and a very delayed win in Canyon, Texas, last week, CWU plays their home opener in Ellensburg.
    • The Wildcats were 3-1 at home in 2023.
    • Who is up for late football? This game starts at 9:00 p.m. ET, and will lull you to sleep with touchdowns.
  2. Tyler Flanagan Is Heating Up

    • CWU's leading rusher last year had a breakout week against West Texas.
    • Flanagan torched the Buffs, running for 104 yards and three touchdowns.
    • Flanagan had 1,014 yards rushing last season.
  3. Western New Mexico Match Their 2023 Win Total

    • Through four games, WNMU have already matched their win total from 2023, going 2-2.
  4. Tanner. Volk.

    1. If y'all didn't already know, he's very good.
