Ferris State football, the No. 5 team in both polls, headed into Massachusetts to play the American International Yellow Jackets in a non-conference matchup. The Bulldogs started the first half of the game with a perfect 8 out of 8 conversions for touchdown. Yellow Jackets had moments of light in the second half, especially when they made a huge interception and turned it into a touchdown drive.

If Ferris State showed any weakness today, it would be the turnovers that gave the Yellow Jackets their only chances of the day. They gave up the ball four times with 3 FSU fumble recoveries and one interception tallied by AIC.

At 2-1, Ferris was coming off a bye week, having played Ashland two weeks ago. Over their previous two games, the Bulldogs scored 99 points, allowing only six total points. The offensive success continued today with the Bulldogs putting up 84 more points on the board and holding AIC to just one touchdown.

Although Ferris State entered this game with a loss, it was against the currently-ranked No. 10 Pittsburg State. AIC started their season with a win over Shippensburg but would follow it with two losses to Saint Anselm and SCSU.
