The Butler Bulldogs football team took care of business against the Morehead State Eagles as they picked up a 40-6 win, beginning their PFL conference play on the right foot in Bud and Jackie Sellick Bowl Stadium on October 5.

This win keeps the Bulldogs undefeated as they are now 5-0 and drops Morehead State to an even 3-3 on the season.

Butler continued to play well on both sides of the ball and were firing on all cylinders from the start, taking a shutout into the fourth quarter. Quarterback Reagan Andrew had himself a game, being responsible for four touchdowns totaling two passing and rushing touchdowns apiece, only missing one passing after going 11/12 for 172 yards.

Ershod Jasey II also had a solid game, rushing for 76 yards on 11 carries and catching a touchdown on a wheel route late in the third quarter.

Morehead State had a promising first drive to start the game but didn't score and couldn't get anything else to go their way for the rest of the game, only having a game total of 258 yards, which is an amazing credit to the Bulldogs defense, who are coming off of shutouts the past two weeks. They only gave up six points today and lead the FCS in points allowed.
