Week 1 of the GLIAC football schedule had GVSU, Ferris State, Michigan Tech, and Saginaw Valley State pulling away with wins. This week's GLIAC schedule kicks off at noon ET with Michigan Tech hosting a Davenport team hunting for their first conference win. 

Michigan Tech sits at 4-1 on the season and is determined to get another win, but it won't be easy against a talented and hungry Davenport Team. Both teams are receiving votes in the poll and will certainly make for an interesting matchup. 

The second game of Saturday features Saginaw Valley and Roosevelt, another undefeated team and one hunting for a conference win. Saginaw Valley State is also another team looking to enter the official coaches rankings, being ranked No. 24 in the D2 football poll. A win against Roosevelt will certainly keep them in the conversation to break into those low twenties as they face an 0-4 team looking for their first win.

Another winless team so far this season, Wayne State, hosts talented Ferris State at 6:00 p.m. EST as Ferris State looks to stay atop the rankings ahead of their highly anticipated showdown against rival Grand Valley State. Ferris State has been steadily improving and climbing the rankings after their early season stumble as they sit at No. 4 in the rankings. Meanwhile Grand Valley State will take on the last winless team in the GLIAC, Northern Michigan, as they continue to dominate this season. Undefeated and practically untouched in that No. 2 spot. GVSU looks to be a more dominant team with each passing week.
