NCAA Division II Week 8 Football Rankings: 13 Unbeaten Teams Still Remain
NCAA Division II Week 8 Football Rankings: 13 Unbeaten Teams Still Remain
The Week 8 NCAA Division II rankings are here. Find out how Central Washington faired after the shocking loss.
For the most part, the rankings this week have not changed in the top half, with the same teams holding the top spots and continuing to win. After another week, Harding and Grand Valley State football still have shown why they are miles ahead of any other team in Division II; in fact, this was the fourth game in a row that Harding has allowed only three points or less.
Valdosta State had the biggest scare after only beating North Greenville by eight points and trailing for most of the game, but they remain undefeated and will be back in its home stadium for the first time since Hurricane Helene this weekend.

West Alabama moving into the top ten was the biggest news out of the entire division after formerly ranked No. 9 Central Washington football was upset by Texas-Permian Basin, causing them to drop to 4-2 and all the way to No. 21.
Other ranked teams going into last week that also took a crushing loss include Delta State, Findlay, and Indiana. However, those losses proved to be more costly, with all three teams being left out of the top 25 going into their next game.
Obviously, with that happening, things opened up for Southern Arkansas, Henderson State, and West Florida, who are back in the rankings after being the team responsible for the Statesmen drop and will face No. 3 Valdosta State the last game of the season.
