No. 19 New Hampshire fell to No. 17 Rhode Island in a top 25 CAA matchup.

Rhode Island dominated defensively coupled with their strong offensive performance to improve to 3-0 in the conference. 

UNH falls to 4-3 on the season, and 2-1 in conference. They played a solid game defensively but were unable to move the ball downfield, only putting up three points until the end of the fourth quarter.

UNH is able to get a touchdown late in the fourth but their lack of offensive success has them falling to Rhode Island.

After a few scoreless drives in which the Rams defense shined, Tommy Smith punches it in as they add another seven.

The Rams quickly force UNH out and Marquise Buchanan hauls it in to make it 18-3.

Fumbled Punt Makes It 12-3

URI capitalizes on a UNH error on a punt return and punches it in, extending their lead with five left in the third. They force  UNH out and have the ball again attempting to add to their lead.

URI Goes Up Six Minutes Into The Third

URI kicks a 20 yard field goal 6 minutes into the third quarter to extend their lead to 5-2.

At The Half: URI, 2 - UNH, 3

UNH kicks it in from 45 out with 23 seconds left in the half as both defenses truly are shining in this defensive battle.

After a scoreless first five minutes to the second quarter, URI comes up huge on defense and special teams to get a safety and go up 2-0.

Both teams shine defensively in the first quarter as the game remains scoreless.

The defense continued to be the key early in this game as UNH picks off Devin Farrell and looks to get going offensively.
