Rankings and records are shaking up, and one of the great things as the season hits its stride, is how these changes dictate playoff positioning.

For example, Maine defeated then-No. 5-ranked Villanova last week, and upset by all accounts.

This week, the Black Bears visit No. 16 Rhode Island, who have recorded only one loss so far this season, and are currently in a string of five consecutive wins. Will Maine play spoiler again?

That and more this week on FloFootball.

Here are some of the most anticipated duels from each division.

Former No. 5 Villanova In Action Against New Hampshire

  • Battle of the Wildcats - After both of the Wildcats had shocking losses each, with Villanova only scoring seven points against Maine last Saturday and New Hampshire losing against Rhode Island in their home stadium, both teams will look to get their confidence back. Interesting enough, these teams' opponents from last week (Maine and Rhode Island) will also face off this week.

  • Other CAA ranked games - No. 13 Richmond will take on Bryant after taking down undefeated Delaware for the Spiders biggest win of the season. Bryant is still searching for its first conference win.

GSVU Vs. Ferris State - 2024 Anchor Bone Classic

  • Biggest GOTY? - This Saturday presents presumably the biggest game of the year that will stream on FloFootball with the Anchor Bone Classic between the Grand Valley State Lakers and the Ferris State Bulldogs. Rankings have GSVU as the new No. 1 after chasing the spot since the start of the season, which puts even more attention on the big game. Ferris State is ranked No. 3.

  • Other important Division II games - Aside from the Anchor Bone Classic, there are still a handful of games that have a top team playing. Those other teams are Delta State, Carson-Newman, Lenoir-Rhyne, West Alabama, and West Florida as they look to climb the rankings.

No. 6 Susquehanna Looking To Break Into The Top Five

  • Will the River Hawks keep rolling? - Another great showing of offensive firepower from Susquehanna last week gave them their sixth win of the season with a 66-21. Two weeks ago, on Oct. 12, the River Hawks put up a season-high 79 points. Susquehanha is averging 540 yards of offense a game, and Wilkes is up next.
