How To Watch Midwestern State vs. Central Washington Football
Central Washington looks to remain atop the Lone Star Conference standings despite slip up against UT Permian Basin two weeks ago.
Two weeks ago, Central Washington was a Top 10 team and a sure favorite to win the Lone Star Conference. Then, they lost to a UT Permian Basin team that is led by a backup quarterback, who while talented, is not the same as their starter who led the conference in numerous categories. Now they sit at No. 20 in the polls, attempting to climb back up, as they are behind Angelo State and Western Oregon in the LSC standings as well with that blemish.
They came back with a vengeance last week, as their defense absolutely stifled Texas A&M Kingsville and they walked away with a 31-0 victory. Now they face a struggling Midwestern State team as they look to remain perfect before their final game of the season, a showdown against Western Oregon that could very well determine the Lone Star Conference championship.

Meanwhile Midwestern State has been rather unimpressive to start the conference season. They've taken care of business handling the bottom of the conference with wins against Eastern New Mexico and Sul Ross State, but have been unable to do anything to even attempt to upset a top team, as Angelo State, UT Permian Basin, and Texas A&M Kingsville have all handled them, winning with huge margins. A win against a Central Washington team on a mission will be unlikely, but their goal should be to hang on and compete with a top team, something they are 100% capable of doing.
Central Washington attempts to stay atop the Lone Star Conference standings as they host Midwestern State on Saturday, October 26th at 8:00 p.m CST.
