Richmond Football Wins A Share Of The 2024 CAA Title
The Richmond Spiders won at least a share of the CAA Championship with a win over Hampton. A win over William & Mary will seal an outright title.
No. 7 Richmond Football won at least a share of the CAA Football Title on Nov. 16 as the Spiders beat Hampton 24-21 on the road. The Spiders (9-2, 7-0) also moved a step closer to winning an outright title after Villanova took a shocking loss.
No. 8 Villanova Football was stunned by Monmouth on Nov. 16, 40-33, as the Wildcats were eliminated from the CAA Conference Championship chase. The Hawks took a knee at the Wildcats' 1-yard line to end the game just as Richmond sealed a 24-21 win over Hampton.
Rhode Island, which was also in the chase for the CAA conference title, was trailing UAlbany by 10 points in the third quarter in their game. Stony Brook lead New Hampshire 13-10 at halftime while Delaware, which is leaving the conference and can't make the FCS playoffs, was beating Campbell 27-16.
Richmond, 7-0 in the CAA, led five teams by one game entering the day and will enter the final week of the season assured of at least a share of the CAA title. They can win an outright title with a win over rival William & Mary on Nov. 23.

When Do The 2024 FCS College Football Playoffs Start?
The FCS playoffs begin on November 30, 2024.
The 2024 Division I FCS College Football Championship game will be played on January 6, 2025, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
