It's that time of the year when the stakes are high, and careers are defined as the NCAA Division II football playoffs are set to conclude on Dec. 21.

Of course, Valdosta State football will compete in the title game against Ferris State to break the tie, with each team winning a game against the other in the national championship.

Ferris State won the last matchup rather comfortably, 58-17, in 2021, whereas the Blazers defeated the Bulldogs by two points three years earlier in a high-scoring affair.

A big thing to watch out for is the chance at history for both teams; Valdosta State could win the national championship to complete a perfect season for the second time in its program's history and the fifth overall.
