Many significant moments have happened on FloFootball in 2024, including multiple incredible and impressive games from teams and individuals.

While many teams may want to forget some moments, there is no question that this was a rollercoaster of a season.

Over the season, so much has happened across the FCS, Division II, and Division III. It gave fans the ultimate experience and allowed them to feel the effects of an entire season with all the ups and downs and the game with heavy implications.

Although there were so many notable memories from the year, here are the five most significant things in college football that happened on FloFootball in 2024.

An Outright Winner Of The CAA

  • In its final season in the CAA, Richmond football won the first outright CAA title since 2019, which was pre-pandemic and when James Madison were still in the conference.
  • This was the second consecutive season where Richmond would win the CAA, adding to its total of 13 CAA titles after winning a share of the title with Villanova football and UAlbany.
  • The Spiders will play in their first year at the Patriot League conference next season.

Upsets Were At An All-Time High

  • Every sports fan knows that upsets are guaranteed to happen. Regardless of who is the favorite, both teams want to win, and the underdog is not going to back down. They have nothing to lose, so they are more than likely going to give their best shot.
  • When that happens, upsets are bound to transpire, which is what happened this past year.
  • The biggest upset of the season was Monmouth football defeating FIU for the program's first FBS win in history. Another CAA member, William & Mary football, also shockingly defeated Furman.
  • Other notable upsets came during conference matchups, such as Maine's defeat of then-No. 5 Villanova and Delta State's defeat of then-No. 10 West Alabama.

Trinidad Chambliss Show-Stopping Performance In Anchor-Bone Classic

  • Another chapter was written in the Grand Valley State-Ferris State rivalry with the 21st annual Anchor-Bone classic on Oct. 26.
  • Ferris State football came out and dominated the game from the opening kickoff, eventually winning 34-7.
  • Bulldogs quarterback Trinidad Chambliss led the way with a fantastic performance, scrambling for 122 yards and three touchdowns, but also made some spectacular throws after keeping the play alive.

Offense On Another Level

  • With today's game being so scoring-driven, it should be no surprise that there have been many head-turning offensive explosions throughout the season.
  • Another big game from Ferris State came when they scored 84 points on AIC.
  • Valdosta State also shut out Erskine 73-0, with Sammy Edwards gaining 257 yards and five touchdowns in the fourth game of the season.
  • West Florida football quarterback Marcus Stokes had arguably one of the best games of his young collegiate career, as the redshirt freshman threw for 326 yards and five total touchdowns, two rushing and three passing, against then No. 19 Delta State to get his team back in the top 25.

An All "FloFootball Final" Was Produced

  • Although Ferris State ran away from Valdosta State in the Division II national championship, it is still noteworthy to mention that both teams were on FloFootball all season.
  • Valdosta State football faced Ferris State football on Dec. 21 for the third time in six years for the national title.
  • This matchup appeared likely to happen about mid-way through the season after Ferris State got the big win over Grand Valley State and when Valdosta State easily defeated its adversaries.
  • Both teams flexed their muscles on FloFootball all year, but in the end, Ferris State showed why they were the best team by winning its third national title in four years.
