Texans quarterback Zed Woerner threw his second touchdown pass of the first half — a 2-yard touchdown pass to Del’Michael High — to bring Tarleton State back within a field goal at 17-14 just 17 seconds prior to halftime.
The teams traded scores in the third quarter before Sergio Sroka drilled a 21-yard field goal to tie the game at 31 with 14:56 to play.
Stallard and the UCO offense responded with a 10-play, 75-yard drive that spanned nearly five minutes and was capped by a 13-yard touchdown run by the senior from Cleveland, OK. The Bronchos’ 38-31 lead would serve as the final tally.

Bronchos running back Bruce White ran for 216 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Harlon Hill Award finalist JT Luper was caught nine passes for 49 yards with the Tarleton State defense keying on him.
Luper finishes the season with 110 catches for 1,539 yards and a dozen scores.
The Bronchos finish the year 8-4, with their second bowl win in three years. The Texans wrap up their 2017 campaign with a 6-6 mark.
