Quay Walker Flips To Georgia, Giving Dawgs All-Time Class
Quay Walker flips to Georgia, giving the Bulldogs one of the highest-rated signing classes of all-time.
Crisp County (GA) outside linebacker Quay Walker, a four-star prospect who has been committed to Alabama since June, instead signed with Georgia this morning, giving the Bulldogs arguably the best signing class of all time.
Walker becomes the fourth linebacker rated four stars or better in Georgia’s 2018 class, joining five-star outside linebacker Adam Anderson and four-star linebackers Otis Reese and Channing Tindall.
Adding Walker to UGA's class pushes Kirby Smart’s 2018 group to a 322.39 projected score per 247Sports. Without Walker, the class has tallied 3,382 points per Rivals.
In the history of prospect and class ratings, only Alabama’s 2017 class (323.87 per 247Sports, 3,477 per Rivals) and Florida’s 2010 class (324.62 per 247Sports) have received a higher score. And, of course, Georgia’s current scores are unofficial.
