Remember When Illinois-Northwestern Only Had One End Zone?
Eight years ago, Illinois and Northwestern played at Wrigley Field—and used only one of the end zones.
Illinois plays Northwestern on Saturday.
Aside from the fact that both schools are located pretty close to Chicago and compete—well, Northwestern anyway—in the Big Ten, this may not seem like a very noteworthy matchup.
But, remember that time eight years ago when they played with just one end zone?

Football at Wrigley Field again seemed like a cool idea. Crashing into the ivy, not so much. So both teams went the same direction on offense for the entire game.
Joke was on whoever bought seats in the right field bleachers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Side note: Mikel Leshoure was a beast. I’d probably still stash him on my fantasy football roster as a deep sleeper if he were in the league. Never learned my lesson on that one.
