Cadillac Williams Will Coach Running Backs At Auburn
Carnell "Cadillac" Williams is headed back to Auburn to coach Gus Malzahn's running backs.
According to Jason Caldwell with AUTigers.com, Carnell "Cadillac" Williams is headed back to Auburn to coach Gus Malzahn's running backs.
Needless to say, Cadillac is a legend on The Plains, having totaled 4,173 yards from scrimmage and 46 touchdowns during his four-year career, and his ability to coach the hell out of some running backs seems like a foregone conclusion.

Williams has previously coached at West Georgia and IMG—and, most recently, was in line to lead the running backs for the AAF's Birmingham Iron.
Auburn returns its top four rushers from 2018, including rising sophomore JaTarvious Whitlow, who rushed for 787 yards and six touchdowns last season.
Beyond Cadillac making a sort of hero's return to his alma mater, seeing him back in the news simply reminds us of how badly a four-team playoff was needed during his final season with the Tigers.
In case you've forgotten—and, really, we're just talking to you, Danny White—Auburn finished the 2004 season undefeated, but without even a shot at the BCS Championship, as No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 1 Southern Cal met for the title that year.
Both of those teams were dominant during the regular season and there was no sincere argument for dropping either of them behind Auburn. Still, the '04 season should serve as a reminder of how far we've come—and how much we should all appreciate the current playoff format.
Anyway, here's a 90-second reminder that no one ranked fifth or lower has any real complaint about getting stuck with a fake national championship when this team hung only an SEC Championship banner:
