Five CAA Football teams are ranked in the latest FCS Top 25 polls that were released on Monday, including three in the top 10.

James Madison remained at No. 2 in both the STATS FCS Top 25 poll and the AFCA Coaches FCS Top 25 poll despite a narrow 20-13 setback at West Virginia last Saturday. The Dukes play their home opener this Saturday against St. Francis (Pa.).
Maine moved up one spot to No. 6 in both the STATS and AFCA rankings following its 42-14 victory over Sacred Heart. The Black Bears travel to FBS member Georgia Southern on Saturday night.
Towson rose to No. 8 in the STATS poll and No. 9 in the AFCA poll following its dramatic 28-21 win at The Citadel last Saturday. The Tigers entertain North Carolina Central on Saturday.
Delaware is ranked No. 21 in the STATS and AFCA polls after beating in-state foe Delaware State, 31-13, last Thursday. The Blue Hens play their CAA opener at Rhode Island on Saturday night.
Villanova vaulted into the STATS rankings at No. 24 after knocking off then No. 13 Colgate, 34-14, on Aug. 24. The Wildcats host Lehigh on Saturday.
In addition to the five ranked teams, six other CAA Football squads received votes in at least one of the two polls. Elon, Stony Brook, New Hampshire and Richmond got votes in the STATS poll, while Elon, New Hampshire, Richmond, William & Mary, Stony Brook, Villanova and Rhode Island got votes in the AFCA poll.
CAA Football’s five ranked teams in the STATS poll was tied with the Missouri Valley and Big Sky for the most of any conference, while the Southland was next with four.
