The South Atlantic Conference announced its Football Players of the Week for games played during the 10th week of the 2022 season. 

Lenoir-Rhyne quarterback Sean White was tabbed as the SAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Lenoir-Rhyne safety James Ussery was named the SAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Emory & Henry kicker Trace Butcher picked up SAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

White, a sophomore from Sarasota, Florida, led the Bears to a 62-10 win over Catawba last week. He threw for 269 yards, going 15-for-20 (75%) and rushed for 29 yards for a combined 298 yards of offense for the Bears. 

He had three touchdowns - one in the air and two on the ground.

Ussery, a freshman from Kings Mountain, North Carolina, had a career-high seven tackles in the Bears’ win over Catawba. Included in those seven tackles was a tackle for loss. 

Ussery also forced a fumble and blocked a kick in the game.

Butcher, a freshman from Dacula, Georgia, helped lead the Wasps to a 32-0 win over Erskine. He went 3-for-4 on field goal attempts, including nailing a 44-yard field goal. 

He also was perfect on his extra point attempts and finished the game, accounting for 12 of Emory & Henry’s points.
