Central Washington football will begin Lone Star Conference play as they head to Canyon, Texas to take on the West Texas A&M Buffaloes. CWU began the 2024 season with high hopes, before being unceremoniously knocked off their pedestal by San Diego in week 1.

The No. 23 West Alabama Tigers will travel to Pensacola, FL, to face the No. 12 West Florida Argonauts on September 21 in a Gulf South conference Division II-ranked game live on FloFootball. The game opens up conference play for the Gulf South and is the lone ranked matchup of the weekend.

Lenoir-Rhyne Football handled Tiffin in the first ever matchup between the two teams.In another very complete performance, Lenoir-Rhyne took care of business on both sides of the ball with an incredibly efficient and clean offense that was aided by four turnovers, two fumbles and two interceptions, forced by the defense. Tiffin's defense did perform as expected, holding Lenoir-Rhyne to under 100 rushing yards, but ultimately spent a lot of time on the field. Unfortunately their offense was unable to get going, something that has become a trend this early season, as they found zero rhythm and only put 17 points on the board.
